GDSDA Speech and Debate Tournament

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Every month during the school year the GDSDA puts on tournaments for students to compete across CCSD and affiliated charter and private schools. These tournaments provide students opportunities to compete against each other and earn their way to the National Tournament and compete for scholarship funds.

One of the biggest things we need each tournament is judges to guarantee that the rounds can take place in a timely and fair manner. Judges need no prior experience, will be trained on site, and will be provided with refreshments and meals for the days that they participate. Requirements for participation are access to a computer to fill out ballots and being fluent in English.

VOLUNTEER ROLE: Speech and Debate Judges

ATTIRE: Casual - Business Casual

VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN: Volunteers will be notified where the judge's room is and will check in with the staff there.
